Learning to handle and navigate your Sunseeker is an exciting part of boat ownership, and Sunseeker France can put you in touch with the best instructors in the region. Whether you head off for a residential course or we organise an instructor to join you on your own boat, there is no substitute for getting good honest advice.

For cruising in France, you are going to need certification and the most recognisable is the International Certificate of Competence (ICC). An RYA course can help you achieve the ICC certificate, or can use an RYA Powerboat Level 2 or Day Skipper certificates as evidence of your competence to qualify you for the ICC.

In practice, documentary evidence may seldom be inspected, but it is generally useful and in some countries essential to carry an ICC. If a boat owner requires evidence of competence when visiting another European country the ICC will frequently suffice. It can also be useful for people wishing to charter.
